Welcome.
NOSSO (OUR) is a non-profit civil society organization that supports traditional communities in Brazilian territory to build and develop CAUSE-DRIVEN BUSINESSES focused on sustainable tourism, local product marketing and cultural and business education, aiming to build financial independence for these groups.
We work to ensure the improvement of the quality of life of communities and to safeguard their memory and tradition, creating a healthy link with the "modern world" and also allowing companies and organizations to relearn, through contact with communities, how to use technology and innovation more wisely, thereby contributing to restoring the health of the planet.
Impact.
OUR planet is experiencing a major crisis. We have advanced technologically, but we have abandoned our ancestral wisdom, creating a huge socio-economic-environmental imbalance that is generating problems in society and the world.
Today, there are very few communities that hold the ancestral wisdom capable of restoring the peace, harmony, and happiness that we need as humanity. Some of these communities are located in Brazil. They are indigenous, quilombola, and riverside communities that have had little or no contact with the "modern world."
NOSSO safeguards these communities by ensuring financial resources, structural support, and organizational assistance so that they can continue to thrive independently of the influences of the "modern world," respecting their own pace of development, customs, traditions, and local needs.
As a result, we create impact-driven businesses such as experiential tourism and development programs that transmit ancestral wisdom and community values to individuals, organizations, and companies, enabling them to operate sustainably on the planet after experiencing the learning of the three harmonies:
of the individual
with themself
of the individual
with society
from Society with Nature
OUR working methodology is based on the Design Thinking creative process: an approach that generates solutions to problems collaboratively and with empathy for each involved party, respecting and enhancing the use of existing local resources, both material and immaterial.
In our projects, we work with the concepts of circular economy and sustainability, as well as the integration of communities into the digital world, creating a bridge with individuals, companies, and organizations seeking to learn from their knowledge.
Development with wisdom is the path for our flourishing as humanity.

Our Communities
Who are they?
The traditional communities that are part of OUR network undergo a process of engagement to ensure that they have the willingness to develop a common well-being project.
They are mostly located in remote and hard-to-reach areas within Brazilian territory. Therefore, we always seek to use local knowledge and resources, minimizing the need for displacement.
When necessary, we work with partners and experts located as close as possible to the communities.

Through a process of self-recognition, which is part of the work, each community chooses one or more paths of development within the themes we address.

Our Methodology.
We work on projects understanding and respecting that the communities involved with NOSSO are very distant from the "modern world." With the aim of safeguarding their culture and tradition, we have built our social technology in three phases, so that we can achieve short- and medium-term results that align with a long-term sustainable development goal for the communities.
1st Phase
During the one-year period, OUR goal is to build a common understanding of what the community aims to achieve, which technologies and processes will be necessary to enable this objective, the stages in which it will be implemented, and which actors will be involved. This phase involves a deep engagement between modernity and ancestry.
OUR FUTURE IS COLECTIVE

-
Closure, documentation, and cyclical accountability to the public and funding agents.
Our activities.
Due to the large concentration of resources in the hands of communities already famous and internationally recognized, NOSSO only creates collaborations with communities that have received little or no support until the beginning of our partnership.
The projects always focus on leadership development. OUR goal is for individuals from the community itself to subsequently integrate neighboring communities within the impact business developed, passing on and multiplying all the knowledge acquired. In agreement with the community, we always prioritize the training of women.
Every community is integrated into OUR NETWORK, with the possibility of creating partnerships and exchanges with communities throughout Brazil. Through the NETWORK, we offer monthly training sessions so that communities can continue to improve continuously. For this, we rely on partners in many areas: education, commerce, logistics, marketing, social media, leadership, management, innovation, accounting, audiovisual production, legislation, design, tourism, etc.
Want to be one of them? See how to volunteer below.
Our volunteers and collaborators are individuals who want to rebuild well-being in Brazil and around the world, while also having the opportunity to take the wisdom and tools acquired from working with communities to their own countries, cities, neighborhoods, and communities.
